If you have a startup that already has paying customers with good traction but you are a solo founder who built the startup from scratch. Now you want to get some angel investment and you need to add one or two co-founders to have a proper team. Would investors take you seriously if you give both new team members 5% equity each?

Am a solo founder seeking for angel investment but need to know the advisable equity to allocate to 2 prospective co-founders who will be coming on-board soon. The startup already has paying customers with traction. I built everything from scratch and have been running it for 3 years now.

The investors may be initially be biased against that kind of %. But their calculation should be: will the 5% after it is diluted in this and the next couple of rounds be enough to keep your cofounders to stay? And if they left, would they be replaceable?
